Ever had a favorite band you swore everyone had heard of, but lots of people still didn’t know about them?
That’s kind of how I feel about Copyblogger.
Not to get too fanboy, but it’s been in my Top 5 marketing sites since 2006, when I was writing full-time, and it’s an indispensable resource for content marketers.
No wonder I’m pretty pumped to host a special live webinar with founder/CEO Brian Clark and CMO Sonia Simone: “From New List to Critical Mass: Grow Your Audience With Content Marketing” on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
In this new session, developed especially for AWeber, Brian and Sonia will show you how to grow a healthy list of subscribers that open, click and most importantly, convert.
This will be a popular session, so you’ll want to snag a virtual front-row seat.
Top 5 Hits: Copyblogger on Email
In honor of the occasion, and to fully beat the musical theme into the ground, we thought you’d like a hand-selected Top 5 list of Copyblogger’s greatest hits on email.
It’s not easy to choose five posts from six years of solid content, so this list comes with the standard disclaimers. (And you’re welcome to argue these or suggest others in the comments section.)
One common thread: These five posts tackle issues we hear a lot at AWeber, so they’re really geared toward you, our audience. And while some of the articles focus on the basics, even if you’re an email pro, you’ll find valuable reminders in there. At the very least, you’ll find the kind of crisp writing your emails should emulate.
Without further ado …
This is actually an eight-part series of tutorials, like a mini-best-of, that will undoubtedly improve the effectiveness of your email marketing. It covers a nice range, from irresistible subject lines and the best times to send your email, to better results with mobile marketing. If you’re somewhat new to email, this series is the perfect place to gain some quick insights.
I know, this post is about blog topics — or so you’d think. But the tips and inspiring ideas in here will fit your email content just fine. In fact, this list can practically fill your content calendar for months to come. It’s that good. Guaranteed. (I’ll admit that #31 isn’t high on my list.)
You’re not a lazy marketer, are you? You’re probably just overworked and underpaid. Don’t worry. This post will work for you, too. Whether you’re just getting started, or looking to improve your autoresponders, you’ll find valuable insights here.
To grow your list, you need opt ins, and to get opt ins, you need pages that work. Pretty basic, right? So is this quick-read post, which addresses seven frequently asked (or overlooked) questions for whipping your opt-in pages into shape. You’re probably doing a few of these steps, but many sites aren’t, so it doesn’t hurt to check and see which ones you may be missing.
To subscribe, or not to subscribe — that’s the question this post explores. Actually, it examines how the word itself can make an impact on your list growth. And if you’ve ever yearned for a 254% gain in readers, you’ll want to read it. This one minor change could pay big dividends.
